MetaTrader 5 · Systematic trading
Expert Advisors built the slow way.
Canomi writes rule-based trading systems for MetaTrader 5. Twelve years of building, testing and throwing away strategies went into the ones that made it onto this site — starting with Cloud Trade EA on the S&P 500 and Nasdaq.
01 How we work
Four rules we keep to,
even when it costs us a sale.
Automated trading attracts a lot of noise: curve-fitted equity curves, grids that hide losses, and marketing that borrows whatever technology sounds impressive this year. We would rather show you where a system stops working.
Evidence before narrative
Every release is backtested on historical tick data and cross-checked against feeds from several brokers, because a strategy that only survives on one data set is not a strategy. Cloud Trade EA was optimised on 2018–2023; everything after that we deliberately left untouched so there is something honest left to look at.
Mechanics you can read
No neural networks, no “quantum” anything, no black box. Entries, exits and position sizing are ordinary rules built on long-tested market behaviour, and we publish them so you can decide whether they make sense to you before you spend money.
Risk sits in front, not in a footnote
Lot size is derived from account balance, each position in a trade cloud is managed individually under its own magic number, and nothing averages down into a loser. There is no grid and no martingale, which also means there is no way to make a losing month look flat.
Quiet periods are part of the design
A system that only acts when its conditions are met will sometimes sit still for weeks, occasionally for two or three months. That is the strategy working, not failing — and we would rather tell you now than have you uninstall it in week six.

Cloud Trade EA
Precision swing trading for the S&P 500 and Nasdaq. Instead of one entry at one price, it builds a cloud of smaller positions as the market moves, each managed on its own.
- Daily time frame only. One decision per bar, which keeps signal strength high and spread costs low.
- Long only, indices only. Built around the upward drift and mean-reverting behaviour of stock indices rather than a generic all-markets template.
- Four risk levels. Low, medium, high and very high — the number of trades in the cloud grows with the level you choose.
- Free demo in the strategy tester. Run it on your own broker’s data before you decide anything.

What we are working on next.
Cloud Trade EA is the first system we felt comfortable selling, not the last one we intend to. Below is what is actually on the bench — nothing here is for sale yet, and nothing gets a release date until it has survived out-of-sample testing.
Breakout systems for gold, silver and crypto
Metals and crypto behave nothing like a stock index: long quiet stretches, then moves that keep running. We are testing volatility breakout rules on gold, silver and the major crypto pairs under the same constraints as everything else we ship — a stop on every position, no grid, and nothing added to a losing trade.
Seasonality strategies
Calendar effects are among the oldest documented edges in the market and among the easiest to over-fit. We are working out which of them still hold on data they were not discovered in.
New releases appear on the MQL5 Market first. Ask us to send you a note

ReadTest it before you trust it.
A free demo version of Cloud Trade EA runs in the MetaTrader 5 strategy tester. Load your own broker’s daily data for SP500 or US100, pick a risk level, and see how the system behaves through the periods that matter to you.
